This looks like a cool place to kick it!" - Jazz Accolades But now that my feelings about this character has been made clear. Sideswipe is a really cool Autobots who looks awesome and did a great job of taking Jazz's role as the "cool Autobot," so it's great for Jazz that the Movies bothered to replace him with a character that's actually a good replacement. However, it's not as overwhelmingly sad as Ironhide's death because Jazz gets replaced by Sideswipe. Every time I watch that scene I don't just feel sad, it reminds me that this is just the start of the amount of Autobots are going to become victims of death in these Movies because not only do they need to replaced by new characters that sell more toys, it's also just the start of the amount of brutal and almost traumatizing deaths we witness. Jazz's death was also pretty brutal because he got ripped in half by Megatron and thrown from a building. The death of Jazz was a pretty saddening scene for me because it just shows how bad the war between the Autobots and Decepticons get because many of the Autobots become victims of death and destruction. ![]() Jazz was not only the the first Autobot with an on screen death, he was also the start of the ongoing theme of Autobots being brutally killed off in the Transformers Movies, which is really sad because most of the Autobots that are killed off were awesome (especially Ironhide.), and they get replaced by new characters who doesn't live up to the roles of the original characters. Jazz is one of the original Autobots that arrived to Earth in the first Transformers Movie which was sadly the best Transformers Movie with sequels that went downhill.
